Terms of Service

Last updated: June 1, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Reroot platform operated by Reroot LLC ("Reroot," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our platform at rerootlife.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all terms, please do not use the platform.

1. Not Legal, Financial, or Professional Advice

Reroot is an organizational and informational tool, not a law firm, financial advisor, mental health provider, or professional services firm. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, or mental health treatment.

The tools, checklists, calculators, and content provided by Reroot are for informational and organizational purposes only. They are designed to help you think through your situation — not to replace the advice of qualified professionals. Before making any legal, financial, or major life decisions related to your divorce or separation, you should consult with a licensed attorney, certified financial planner, or other appropriate professional.

Reroot does not recommend, endorse, or guarantee any specific attorney, financial advisor, or other professional listed or referenced on the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Reroot. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to access the full platform. You agree to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription and Pricing

Reroot offers a free tier, a paid "Core" subscription, and additional premium features that may be offered over time. Core subscriptions begin with a free trial period; you will not be charged until the trial ends, and you may cancel before then at no cost. By subscribing, you authorize us (through our third-party payment processor) to charge the applicable recurring fee to your payment method.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. Refunds are provided at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law.

"Founding Member" pricing, where offered to an early limited group of subscribers, is locked at the rate in effect when you subscribe and will not be subject to future price increases for as long as your subscription remains active and in good standing. We reserve the right to change pricing for new subscribers at any time with reasonable notice.

We do not store your full payment card details on our own servers. Payment information is handled by our third-party payment processor in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.

5. Affiliate Links and Referrals

Some resources, products, or service providers referenced on the platform may be affiliate or referral partners, meaning Reroot may earn a commission or referral fee if you engage them. This does not increase the price you pay. An affiliate or referral relationship is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any provider, and you should evaluate any provider independently before engaging them. Reroot is not responsible for the products, services, advice, or conduct of any third-party provider.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Reroot to:

7. Your Data and Content

You retain ownership of all data and content you input into Reroot. By using the platform, you grant Reroot a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

8. Co-Parent Sharing

If you choose to share access with a co-parent, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk. You are responsible for ensuring that sharing is appropriate given your circumstances, including any active court orders or legal restrictions. We recommend consulting your attorney before sharing sensitive financial or custody information through the platform.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REROOT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL REROOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Your use of the platform does not create any attorney-client, fiduciary, advisory, or therapist-client relationship between you and Reroot. We do not guarantee any particular legal, financial, emotional, or other outcome from your use of the platform. You are solely responsible for the decisions you make and the information you enter, and for verifying the accuracy of any calculations or outputs before relying on them.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reroot LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
